My review…
I turn to Brenda Maxfield’s “long” novellas when I need a break from a heavy-reading book. The covers make them easy to spot & being on Kindle Unlimited makes them easy to obtain. Each is an enjoyable read and so is Minding His Nephews.
The Amish father ignored the Ordung, risked shunning and even turned his back on his wife’s tears — she hated that tractor. Somehow he got it in his head that he would increase his crops with the tractor. However, where was the bishop & the ministers? Nancy’s father had that tractor long enough that we Amish readers just KNOW a visit from the bishop would have been made. More than one. For me, this weakened the story thus reduction of a star.
The rest of the book is fairly predictable although you wonder if Vernon will ever wake up to what a treasure Nancy is. Minding His Nephews is a sweet, enjoyable read.
